Community Involvement

Free Vaccine Clinic in Partnership with The Pantry at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church

Several times a year Apalachee River Animal Hospital partners with the HMUMC Food Pantry where prescreened families in need receive much needed veterinary services free of charge.  

Through generous donations of staff time; and products from Veterinary Manufacturers we are able to vaccinate and deworm these family pets as well as send them home with flea & heartworm preventatives as well as food and treats. All free of charge!

DWOD at CrossFit Goat 

January 10, 2015

We partnered with CrossFit Goat and Hills Pet Nutrition to offer a DWOD (CrossFit lingo for Dog Workout of the Day) along with body condition scoring, fitness tips, a raffle and full size food samples.  A CrossFit Trainer along with Apalachee River Animal Hospital Canine Coaches led participants along with their dog on a Fitness Workout. It was fun!

Doggy Boot Camp at Rabbit Hill Park

Dr.Destiny and a CrossFit Trainer led a group of dogs with their humans on a BootCamp Session.  It was a beautiful day and fun was had by all!

Feline Fitness Seminar

Dr.Destiny spoke to a group of interested cat owners on the challenges of keeping weight off of cats, as well as offering tips on how to get their cats to exercise (without them knowing they are exercising!)  Theme appropriate Sushi snacks were served, and full size bags of Veterinary diets were given out as well as toys to get those full figured felines on their way to their goal weight!
